Empathy versus systemizing
"Simon Baron-Cohen's recent book The Essential Difference: Men, Women and the Extreme Male Brain proposes that 'The female brain is predominantly hard-wired for empathy. The male brain is predominantly hard-wired for understanding and building systems.'
"Don't take these tests too seriously - Baron-Cohen himself says in his book that the 'typical' results are only averages, and many men and women differ in their scores."
Systemizing quotient
Your score: 31
0 - 19 = low
20 - 39 = average (most women score about 24 and most men score about 30)
40 - 50 = above average (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score in this range)
51 - 80 is very high (three times as many people with Asperger Syndrome score in this range, compared to typical men, and almost no women score in this range)
80 is maximum
Empathy quotient
Your score: 54
0 - 32 = low (most people with Asperger Syndrome or high-functioning autism score about 20)
33 - 52 = average (most women score about 47 and most men score about 42)
53 - 63 is above average
64 - 80 is very high
80 is maximum
Autism Spectrum quotient
Your score: 10

50 is maximum
Reading the Mind in the Eyes
Your score: 33
A typical score is in the range 22-30. If you scored over 30,
you are very accurate at decoding a person's facial expressions
around their eyes. A score under 22 indicates you find this quite difficult.

This test says you are an ISFP (Introvert, Sensor, Feeler, Perceiver).* In Star Trek, you share a basic personality configuration with the characters of Bareil, Hoshi Sato, and The Doctor.

Why were there no questions about Doctor Who?
You are 73% English.
You are either native and stupid, or you are foreign and knowledgeable.
"And did those feet
In ancient times,
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
In England's pleasant pastures seen?"
Well, no, but it's a cracking good tune.
How English are you?

For your delectation:
( More memage! Tastes great -- less filling! )
Yesterday was the pits -- utter, utter fatigue, all day. We couldn't finish our walk in St. Johns, and I slept for two hours in the afternoon and it didn't help. Feh. Must see if I shouldn't take that muscle relaxant with fluoxetine. Didn't take the muscle relaxant last night and feel pretty decent today. Only one data point, but I'm gonna stay away from the cyclobenzaprine until I know more.
Tonight we're going to go see Pirates II -- yay! We'll be seeing it at the St. Johns Cinema and Brew Pub, so beer and pizza! (But why is all the rum gone?) Doug, Aleta, and Cian and Mindy should be there as well, so much fun will be had!
When Elf gets back from trail maintenance, we'll be going downtown to pick up DVDs at the libary, books at Powell's, and, I hope, a camera bag at Camera World, even if it is evil (alas, the locally-owned shops didn't have what I needed. If they don't have anything, I'm going to start looking into diaper bags...).
Hmm, I really should vacuum...
Hope everyone had/is having a good weekend! =^_^=

Still jetlagged. Have washed all of (well, most of) the mustiness out of ALL OUR CLOTHES. So much to do and get caught up on. Barely have looked at LJ, though I've at least scanned my flist. Work coming in tonight. Yay! Naked Lady party Saturday. It's going to be REAL SUMMER soon -- hot this weekend.
Shee-it. Must get back to gym. Yes. Today, after my wisdom-teeth checkup. Yeeha.

Okay, going to get my gums looked at (the teeth are gone, remember?). Much else when I get home. Yay.
Lovies all 'round. =^_^=
